To make marshmallow tea you have a couple of options:
You can gently boil 1 teaspoon of dried, crumbled root (at least 2 years old), in 1 cup of boiling water for about 15 minutes. Strain out the marshmallow root, and drink one cup of the tea up to 3 times daily.
You can steep one to two teaspoons of dried marshmallow leaf, OR 2-3 teaspoons of fresh leaves in one cup of boiling water for about 10-15 minutes. Strain out the herb and drink one cup up to 3 times a day.
To make a marshmallow poultice:
Blend together finely chopped marshmallow root with enough cold water to form a paste, kind of like a gel. You can also take juice from a root and apply it directly to dry and irritated skin.
Remember to use roots older than 2 years, and see other post for how to dry the root.
